Buried water pipe locating is easy when the substance is copper or galvanized but it is not possible if it is plastic. We can actively trace out any copper or galvanized water line up to 15 feet deep buried underground or concrete.
Water pipe locating is important to avoid costly repairs, fines and service interruption. Prior to excavating call to have all water lines marked!
It is common for water lines to be installed with plastic, especially yard sprinklers. If that is the case they are untraceable unless an undamaged tracer wire is installed. Tracer wires or sprinkler wire buried with the water lines allow for signal to carry down the path of the pipe so that our locator can trace and mark out the path of the pipe.
